Q. Why did you start your business and what niche does it fill?
A. We started caaZoo with the goal of bringing fun to every single person in the world at a discounted rate. We like to have fun and wanted to pass the fun on. We realize that we are in a saturated market of daily deal sites, however, we feel our overall business model sets us apart from the rest. Most daily deal sites care more about driving volume and leaving the business wondering “what just happened?” We are looking to tailor the deals for the businesses so that it makes sense for them and drives the right traffic to their business.
Q. How did you finance your business?
A. caaZoo has been backed with nothing but love so far. We will continue to pass the love around, trust us.
Q. Who are your customers?
A. Our customers are anyone looking to find a fun and exciting deal. We think that is everyone, but to each his own. We hope you come have fun with us at one point. Our other customers are local business owners. They are the ones that will drive our business to the next level as we tailor deals to make them come out on top.
Q. What are the most critical things you have done to grow your business?
A. The biggest thing we have done to grow caaZoo in its early stages is build strong partnerships with local companies that fit well with our vision and strategy. These friendships and partnerships are the foundation for a successful and growing company. Basically, we go out and meet some cool people!
Q. How have you used social media tools like LinkedIn to grow your business?
A. Social media is an important piece to the puzzle as caaZoo continues to grow. We currently use facebook, twitter, and LinkedIn to generate excitement, drive traffic, keep people informed on what is going on in caaZoo land, and even use it to show Ron showing off some sweet moves. We plan to use these platforms extensively going forward for different promotions and giveaways. Remember, a happy customer is a repeat customer – so give them cool stuff!
Q. What are three pieces of advice you would offer entrepreneurs starting out today?
A. It is hard giving advice, because we feel we are still learning every day, but here are three key things

Q. How does your business "give back" to the community or to society?
A. We have not had a lot of time to give back to the community just yet, but we plan to add a new twist to the daily deal line-up that gives back to the community and the people using our platform.
Q. How and why was it important to base your business in the Triangle area?
A. People know how to have fun in this area. What better way to start a fun company than being in a fun place? No really, the Triangle is a great place for tech companies starting out because of the culture in the area. It is important that we create and grow this company right here in the Triangle. This will be our starting point, however, when we are in multiple cities, we plan to stay here.
